These four awards recognize and reward artists who have distinguished themselves by the excellence of their achievements. Funding for the Lieutenant Governor\u2019s Awards for High Achievement in the Arts is provided by the Arts Development Trust Fund and sponsors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One award of $20,000 may be conferred every 2 years, in each of the following four categories:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:40px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Visual Arts Award<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Including architecture, fine craft, media arts and photography<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Performing Arts Award<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Including dance, music and theatre<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Literary Arts Award*<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Including literary translation, literary performance, spoken word and storytelling<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\">* Please note that awards in Literary Arts alternate between French and English from year to year.
