Please contact us by phone or email.\u202f&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>For general inquiries:<\/strong>&nbsp;<br>Operations Manager&nbsp;<br><a href=\"mailto:info@artsnb.ca\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">info@artsnb.ca&nbsp;<br><\/a>506-444-4444&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>For questions concerning grant programs:<\/strong>&nbsp;<br>Program Officer&nbsp;<br><a href=\"mailto:prog@artsnb.ca\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">prog@artsnb.ca&nbsp;<br><\/a>506-440-0037&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><strong>UPDATES REGARDING THE RELAXATION OF CRITERIA OF CAREER DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM COMPONENTS<\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Updated&nbsp;on&nbsp;April 13, 202<\/em>1\u202f\u2013&nbsp;Given that travel restrictions differ within the province\u2019s regions, nationally and internationally, and that people travelling into New Brunswick are required to self-isolate for 14 days unless exempt, grant applications (projects) submitted to artsnb in all programs are allowed, with the following caveats:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Grant recipients must respect guidelines pertaining to COVID-19 restrictions issued by provincial authorities, both in their home region and province, and at their destination.&nbsp;Make sure to visit&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/travel.gc.ca\/covid-19-provinces-territories\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">COVID-19 and travel: Crossing provincial and territorial borders<\/a> page if you plan to travel nationally and Government of Canada\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/travel.gc.ca\/travelling\/advisories\">official travel advice<\/a>&nbsp;page for important information if you plan to travel internationally.&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Recipients must contact the Program Officer if their event is suspended, postponed, or cancelled.&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Relaxation of the criteria for the other two components,\u202f<strong>Professional&nbsp;Development<\/strong>&nbsp;and\u202f<strong>Professionalization &amp; Promotion,<\/strong>\u202fare still in effect. This is to make allowance for the current working conditions imposed by the pandemic and to take advantage of online training opportunities. Currently, eligible projects can include:&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Please note that in response to the current pandemic and although the\u202f<strong>Arts by Invitation and Artist in Residence<\/strong>\u202fcomponents of the Career Development are open, proposed projects must respect the travel restrictions in their home region and province, and at their destination.&nbsp; Moreover, relaxation of the criteria for some of the Career Development Program components are still in effect. This is to make allowance for the current working conditions imposed by the pandemic and to take advantage of online training opportunities:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Arts by Invitation Component (*NEW*):<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Freight and shipping expenses are currently eligible, even if you cannot attend in person the performance, screening or exhibition of your work at an established arts festival, competition or art show, provided that the event takes place more than 150km away from your residence.<\/span><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Professional Development Component:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>To help you adapt your artistic practice to the new realities of self-isolation, social distancing, and web-based communications, expenses related to online training are currently eligible, and;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Online training&nbsp;and&nbsp;short-term studies: you may now apply before having been accepted by the institution or private instructor.&nbsp;Please contact artsnb Program Officer&nbsp;before submitting your application,&nbsp;some instructions will be provided.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Professionalization and Promotion Component: <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Eligible expenses include Web-related expenses for up to one year are currently eligible,\u202fincluding web hosting, domain name registration, subscription\u202ffor videoconference services, etc.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Note that the upcoming&nbsp;<strong>Career Development<\/strong>\u202fdeadline\u202f<strong>is officially May 1st, though since it falls on a Saturday, applications will be received until Monday May 3<sup>rd<\/sup>, 2021<\/strong>. \u202fApplicants planning to apply to this program are strongly encouraged to contact the Program Officer early with any questions they might have.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Q: I currently have an\u202fartsnb\u202fgrant that is being affected by the pandemic. Will I be required to repay the grant?\u202f<\/strong>\u202f&nbsp;<br>A: artsnb recognizes that with the extraordinary and unforeseen nature of COVID-19, some activities or events will have to be cancelled or will no longer be able to take place. Please email our Program Officer to inform us about a project\u2019s cancellation, or to propose changes to the timing, location or format of your project. We may be able\u202fto\u202fapprove extensions to your project timeline and\/or modifications to your project plans.\u202f\u202f&nbsp;<br>\u202f&nbsp;<br>artsnb will allow you to retain the funds to be applied to other eligible expenses related to the project, including costs related to modifying, postponing or cancelling activities.
