This year, it was held in southeast New-Brunswick as well as Prince Edward Island. This was also a special year for the CMA because this 6th edition also celebrates its 25th anniversary. Francophones, francophiles, Acadians, Cajuns from all over the World make their way to the CMA in order to celebrate their language, culture and heritage. The ultime goal of the CMA, as described on the CMA 2019 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cma2019.ca\/en\/cma-2019\/about\">website<\/a> is to &#8220;strengthen the ties that unite all Acadian communities throughout the world, all while showcasing a modern and authentic Acadian identity.&#8221;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_8353\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-8353\" style=\"width: 201px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-8353\" style=\"outline: #72777c solid 1px; height: 268px; text-align: left; color: #333333; text-transform: none; text-indent: 0px; letter-spacing: normal; font-size: 16px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: 400; text-decoration: none; margin-right: auto; margin-left: auto; word-spacing: 0px; display: block; white-space: normal; max-width: 100%; orphans: 2; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px;\" src=\"https:\/\/artsnb.ca\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/reanne-tintamarre-e1566572326207.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"201\" height=\"784\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-8353\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">R\u00e9anne Cooper, Communications Officer walking in the Tintamarre<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This 14-day event is a great opportunity for Acadian artists to showcase their work through multiple events and venues, and allows people from all over the world to experience the culture. Amongst many regional, national and international artists present throughout the two weeks, there are plenty of artists who are our very own New Brunswick artists. During the show of the &#8220;15 ao\u00fbt&#8221;, there was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/Maggiesavoiemusique\">Maggie Savoie<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lisaleblanc.ca\/en\/\">Lisa LeBlanc<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.leshaybabies.com\/\">Les Hay Babies<\/a>,\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.leshotessesdhilaire.com\/\">Les H\u00f4tesses d&#8217;Hilaire<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jasssaintebourque.com\/#!\">Jass-Sainte Bourque<\/a>, just to name a few, who also happen to be some past artsnb grant recipients! It was great to see artists continue to grow their career and take on new challenges. An event such as the Congr\u00e8s mondial acadien is a great opportunity for our province to host and I was glad to have been able to be there on August 15th, 16th and 17th to see and participate in some of the festivities.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_8352\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-8352\" style=\"width: 727px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-8352 \" style=\"outline: #72777c solid 1px; height: 368px; text-align: left; color: #333333; text-transform: none; text-indent: 0px; letter-spacing: normal; font-size: 16px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: 400; text-decoration: none; margin-right: auto; margin-left: auto; word-spacing: 0px; display: block; white-space: normal; max-width: 100%; orphans: 2; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px;\" src=\"https:\/\/artsnb.ca\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/tintamarre.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"727\" height=\"929\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-8352\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The beginning of the Tintamarre, with an end out of sight!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The 15th I first attended the finale of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.accrosdelachanson.ca\/\">Accros de la Chanson<\/a> at Place 1604 in Dieppe. This was a great venue with lots of young talented musicians all competing for the big first place title! Later on in the afternoon was the big Tintamarre. This is a public celebration where everyone gets together, dressed in blue, white, red and yellow and made lots and lots of noise, walking down Champlain Street in Dieppe. There were so\u00a0many people, young and old, celebrating and cheering for l&#8217;Acadie! Finally, the Tintamarre ended at the UNI Coop\u00e9ration financi\u00e8re Stage where multiple artists put on a great show to end the day.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_8354\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-8354\" style=\"width: 295px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-8354\" src=\"https:\/\/artsnb.ca\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/IMG_20190815_221939-e1566572605632.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"295\" height=\"183\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-8354\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The August 15th show at UNI Coop\u00e9ration financi\u00e8re Stage<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>On August 16th, I attended the show of the 25th anniversary which was highlighting 25 different artists. This was another great scene showcasing some new artists from the night before.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_8355\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-8355\" style=\"width: 262px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-8355\" src=\"https:\/\/artsnb.ca\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/cayouche-e1566572698578.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"262\" height=\"197\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-8355\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The Acadian singer, Cayouche<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Finally, my last day at the Congr\u00e8s mondial acadien, I attended a pre-screening of <a href=\"https:\/\/unis.ca\/prince\">LE PRINCE DE L&#8217;ACADIE<\/a>, a documentary, filmed and prepared entirely by a team of Acadians, predominantly from New-Brunswick. This documentary explores the Acadian diaspora in the younger generations and what will the future of Acadie look like.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_8356\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-8356\" style=\"width: 324px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-8356\" src=\"https:\/\/artsnb.ca\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/prince-acadie-e1566572822993.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"324\" height=\"243\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-8356\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The first screening of the documentary LE PRINCE DE L&#8217;ACADIE<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>As the Congr\u00e8s mondial acadien 2019 comes to an end this weekend, I hope that you all were able to experience it, either in person or through social media.
