artsnb announces the laureates of the 2021 Lieutenant Governor’s Awards for High Achievement in the Arts
Fredericton, October 12, 2021– The New Brunswick Arts Board (artsnb) is proud to announce the laureates of the 2021 Lieutenant Governor’s Awards for High Achievement in the Arts. These awards recognize and celebrate the achievements and the contribution of New Brunswick artists in visual arts, literary arts, and performing arts.

Alain Boisvert, Chair of artsnb stated, “On behalf of the artsnb Board of Directors, I tip my hat and offer my most sincere congratulations to this year’s Lieutenant Governor’s Awards laureates. Their contribution to the artistic and cultural landscape of New Brunswick, and their influence beyond our borders, make them exceptional ambassadors for this province. May this recognition be a source of motivation and inspiration for them and for all artists in New Brunswick to pursue with determination an artistic path that is out of the ordinary!”
The Awards will be presented to the laureates by the Lieutenant Governor of New Brunswick at a gala held at the Lieutenant-Governor’s residence on November 15, 2021, if the regulations concerning COVID-19 allow.
As a provincial entity, the New Brunswick Arts Board acknowledges that it carries out its work on the traditional unceded territory of the Wolastoqiyik, Mi’kmaq and Peskotomuhkati peoples. Read the full statement.
