André Gallant is Atlantic Canada’s Intellectual Property (IP) Advisor with the Canadian Intellectual Property Office (CIPO). In addition to working in IP law, André has also worked as a tax lawyer for more than 10 years. He is also a published author, frequent speaker and an amateur piano composer.
Michael Shortt is a partner with the intellectual property department of Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP. Michael has participated in multiple Supreme Court cases dealing with copyright topics ranging from Crown copyright to technological neutrality to royalties for downloadable music. He is the co-chair of Fasken’s video game law group and a frequent speaker and writer on intellectual property topics.
Adam Haller is managing director, commercialization & licensing at Dalhousie University. Adam joined Dalhousie after ten years practicing intellectual property law at Norton Rose Fulbright Canada LLP in Toronto.
