The New Brunswick Arts Board is an arm’s length arts funding agency with a legislated mandate to facilitate and promote the creation of art as well as administering funding programs for professional artists in the province.
On June 3rd, Minister of Tourism, Heritage and Culture Isabelle Thériault made the announcement at the Charlotte Street Arts Center before a group of representatives from many different arts organizations.
The board of directors and team at artsnb are pleased to see this increase to the budget of the Operational Support program for arts organizations. It represents a recognition of the importance of this sector for the development of New Brunswick. It is crucial to support organizations that create and present works and programs, community cultural centers, and service-oriented organizations, and the ripple effects will be felt throughout the province.
